About
Hello, my name is Eric Buerger.
I have lived in Alaska for most of my life, working as an electrician before retiring, and spending my summers commercial fishing in Bristol Bay. It’s a place and a rhythm that have shaped who I am, made even more meaningful by the good fortune of having my family alongside me as crew.
My connection to woodworking reaches back to childhood. The act of forming an idea into a workable object has always brought deep satisfaction—the steady process of moving something from the mind into physical form. For me, working with wood is not about arriving at a final destination, but about an ongoing creative journey, one that continues to evolve as I move through life.
